Happy Feet Integrative Therapy Program

Painful feet don’t just affect your feet—they can contribute to pain throughout your entire body. The Happy Feet Integrative Therapy Program is designed to relieve foot and ankle pain and restore proper function using non-drug, non-surgical therapies.

Rather than treating symptoms alone, we focus on identifying and correcting the underlying biomechanical causes of foot pain. Each patient receives a comprehensive evaluation and a personalized care plan, including a written report with recommended therapies.

Why Foot Problems Persist

Many common foot conditions develop when the feet are not moving or supporting the body correctly. Over time, poor biomechanics can lead to pain, inflammation, and degeneration. While foot pain is often diagnosed as plantar fasciitis, many cases improve when pressure on the joints and nerves of the feet and ankles is properly relieved.

Custom Orthotics: Sole Supports®

We use Sole Supports® custom orthotics, which are designed to correct how your feet function—not just cushion them. These medical-grade orthotics are created from a precise mold of your feet taken in a corrected position and are designed to improve posture, stability, and movement.

Dr. Mark Akers, D.C., and Dr. Kyle Ferguson are specially trained in the Sole Supports casting and fitting process.

What to Expect

  • Two short visits (about 15 minutes each)
  • First visit: custom foot casting
  • Second visit: orthotic fitting and instructions
  • Most orthotics are ready within 1–2 weeks

A brief break-in period is normal as your body adjusts to improved foot support.

Long-Term Support

Once arch height and function are lost, consistent support is needed to maintain improvement. Custom orthotics help counteract daily stress from walking, standing, and hard surfaces, allowing your feet–and the rest of your body–to function more comfortably.
